Nothing matters, said my Lord,
but love for God, referring presumably
to the realm of duality,
our unfaithful hearts and
false perspectives.
But, is it not God’s love for
us
that is of paramount
importance –
when without it all is lost?
Perhaps, they are One and the
same:
God’s love for us and our
love for God.
One and the same. The melding of hearts.
Perhaps, that is the truth
we shall one day inherit
when our love becomes
first exclusive and then
universal;
when at last through love
we become the One we already
are.
O child of God, love divine
surely has everything to do
with Union.
